Who We Are

Bowhead is a specialty lines-focused insurance organization that is an affiliate of American Family Mutual Insurance Company, S.I. (American Family Insurance), a property and casualty mutual insurer with over $7 billion in policy holder surplus that carries an AM Best Rating of A (XV).

Currently, Bowhead has three underwriting divisions, Professional Liability, Casualty, and Healthcare Liability.

Bowhead’s staff consists of over 200 insurance professionals who are committed to excellence and passionate about superior service.
